A part time Production Coordinator position
Fully remote: working with a USA-based team at Story Pirates.

Story Pirates has an immediate need for an experienced Production Coordinator to support our growing podcast & television divisions. This is a part-time, freelance, remote position. Applicants must be able to start immediately and provide consistent support throughout the summer.

About the role: Story Pirates is an educational media company with over 16 years of experience producing award-winning media content, live-theater, and education programs for kids. The Production Coordinator will provide direct administrative support to the Creative Director and assist podcast & television production teams throughout all phases of production for new and existing media projects including, but not limited to:

SPTV, an award-winning educational television show airing on several PBS affiliate stations across the country The Story Pirates Podcast, one of the top kids & family podcasts with over 50M downloads A new sports podcast with Stephen Curry’s Unanimous Productions which is in production for its first season A new history/music podcast with Questlove’s Two One Five Productions which is in production for its first season A new television show, Writer’s Room with Cartoon Network/HBO Max, which is currently in development

Major Responsibilities Include: Oversee the production pipeline for existing podcasts and television projects and new media projects as they develop Coordinate and manage schedules for podcast and television production teams Spearhead communication between production teams and external partners and distributors Manage file-sharing and storage Track and manage use of production equipment and software liscences Complete miscellaneous tasks and projects, both creative and administrative

The ideal candidate must have: At least 1-3 years experience in media production (podcast production preferred) Excellent organizational and time-management skills High attention to detail and accuracy, ability to maintain organized timelines and production schedules for multiple projects at once Strong ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks, projects, and ever-changing priorities Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills Strong verbal and written communication skills, ability to build and maintain interpersonal relationships with internal teams and external partners Dependable and reliable Flexible with a positive attitude

Location: Remote Hours: 10-15 hours/week (flexibility to set your own schedule - consistent hours each week are preferred) Rate of Pay: $20 - $40/hr (exact compensation based on skills and experience)
