Originals: In 2022, we are launching a diverse slate of non-fiction and scripted originals, including the first ever audio-only singing competition in partnership with Audible and grammy-award winning duo The Chainsmokers. Our originals include the Audible Original scripted comedy Sorry Charlie Miller, the Webby Award-nominated scripted series 14 Days with Felicity, and Wild Things, an Apple TV+ docu-series exploring the lives of Siegfried and Roy.
Production Services: Partners and clients include The New York Times, Amazon Prime Video, Netflix, Apple TV+, Marriott Bonvoy Traveler, Ford, Verizon, Entertainment Weekly, GQ, Morgan Stanley, Bleacher Report, The Clinton Foundation, and Viacom/CBS. AT WILL MEDIA is a Webby Award winner and has received nominations for "Best Branded Podcast" at the iHeartRadio Podcast Awards and "Best Entertainment Podcast" at the 2021 Ambie Awards.
The Producer will work in an editorial and production capacity for a longform documentary podcast covering a crime investigation in partnership with a major newsroom, and future nonfiction original projects. When the project wraps, the Producer will move on to future productions in the nonfiction originals unit.
The Producer will be involved in a serialized narrative show from development, research, reporting, and episode production. The Producer has experience in audio storytelling and interest in news/journalism, and pushing the bounds of the audio genre.
The ideal candidate possesses excellent news judgment and exudes professionalism on a demanding production schedule. The Producer wants to help craft a compelling longform nonfiction story based on ambitious investigative reporting. The producer thrives working collaboratively in scripts, tape, and edit sessions in Pro Tools.
Responsibilities
- Story research and fact checking with a keen sense of detail and good tape
- Assist with envisioning series structure, helping outline and draft individual episodes
- Identify key voices and interview subjects, conducting outreach, pre-interviews, and bookings; coordinate with series reporters and hosts as they push the story forward and unlock new findings
- Assist with recordings remotely or in-person (location and project dependent); confident coordinating remote recording set-ups and troubleshooting tech checks
- Sourcing, pulling, and logging archival audio and synching raw taping materials; can work closely with teams to log, organize and maintain all related interviews, media and scripts
- Help assemble and coordinate script drafts, as well as basic audio elements with Google Drive, Audio Hijack, Pro Tools, and Dropbox
- Edit audio and assemble episode drafts alongside supervising/senior producer and post-production teams in Pro Tools
- Assist in writing basic scripting and voiceover narration on evolving deadlines
- Other relevant duties and responsibilities as assigned
Qualifications
- 3-5 years experience working in audio production or relevant media
- Detail-oriented with an exceptional ear for audio storytelling
- Working knowledge of podcast and recording best practices, including appropriate software and gear, as well as how to “tech check” and quality control during tapings and post-production
- Strong audio editing skills in Pro Tools and/or Adobe Audition; experience in sound design and/or music composition helpful but not required
- Ability to edit audio, assemble drafts and entire episodes in digital audio workstation and help manage script edits through cycles of revision
- Ability to communicate and collaborate well with team members and internal/external partners at all levels
- Ability to balance multiple projects with strong time management skills and an ability to meet deadlines
- Excellent verbal and written communicator
- Working knowledge of G-Suite, Slack, and Airtable

Job Type: This role can be a full-time staff position with benefits or a contract role based on the candidate's preferences.
Salary Range: $75,000 - $90,000
