Part-time Producer

Mags Creative is hiring for an experienced producer to work on a new 24 episode semi-scripted, semi-interview show. Applications close end of day on Friday 6th August. The show

- Short form of 20-30 minutes
- Semi-scripted, semi-interview style
- 2x in-person recording days in London in August, thereafter all remote recordings (bulk recordings where possible)
- Released twice weekly from September

The role
- Rate: £150-220 per day dependent on experience
- Budgeted days: Approx 48 days (to be agreed dependent on availability and project scope)
- Location: we are currently all working remotely. We work UK office hours and you’d need to be able to reach London as and when required for in-person recording dates, but most likely 1-2 days/week.
- Start date: ASAP
The show will be starting production in August and early September, aiming to launch towards the end of September.
The producer on this show will be in charge of guest booking, thorough research and scripting, in-person and remote recordings, voicenote sourcing, drafting episode title and descriptions, editing and mixing the final episode.
We are looking for someone to start ASAP and manage all parts of the production process, working closely with the existing Mags Creative team and founders.
This role is for a freelance position, but we are looking to develop a longer-term relationship with the right producer that could lead to a full-time position if suitable for both in the future.
This is a quick turnaround so we are closing applications on Friday 6th August.
About you
- You have at least 3-5 years of experience as a podcast producer, and can specifically demonstrate that you can manage and lead on all aspects of a podcast production
- You demonstrate strong organisational skills
- You have the ability to manage and lead a production schedule and react to changes in real-time
- You are comfortable working with high profile talent and their agents, liaising on requirements and representing the company
- You are clear and direct, comfortable delivering and receiving straightforward feedback promptly and kindly

- You’ll be comfortable working on G-Suite and Slack, and if not already, you’ll learn quickly
- You can facilitate and troubleshoot in-person or remote recordings
- You can pull together a final edit, preferably using Logic Pro
