  • iVoox

The number of podcasts in Spanish grew 6.8 times last year, according to iVoox. 55% of Spanish podcast listeners are listening more now than before the pandemic, says a new study. We’ve linked to it in full from the press release; above is data showing the growth of other languages.

  • PRX
    Radiotopia

Spanish listeners will also have another big show to enjoy: Canción Exploder will be a Spanish-language version of Song Exploder. It’s to launch in early 2022 on Radiotopia from PRX, produced by Adonde Media.

  • Auddy

Podcast publisher Auddy thinks there’s more to podcasting than just America. Andrew Craissati, CEO and co-founder of Auddy is a guest on Podland today, and says “Our focus is the world excluding the US. We think that the rest of the world is an incredibly exciting market. We’re a very internationally-minded company. The British seem to excel as being an exporter of the creative industries.” It’s hosted by Sam Sethi and Podnews’s Editor, James Cridland.
