Kolkata: A bunch of bright students of classes VIII to XII have emerged as top 10 winners of Times Podcast Challenge. The budding podcasters were felicitated online last Friday.
Anshika Kumari, of DAV Model School KSTP in Asansol, Aritra Das of Hartley Higher Secondary School in Kolkata, Arnabi Maitra of Holy Child Institute in Kolkata, Arya Ghosh of Asian International School in Howrah, Debashree Dutta of Aditya Academy Senior Secondary School in Kolkata, Medhasree Das of Maharishi Vidya Mandir in Kolkata, Moubani Maity of St.
Augustine’s Day School in Barrackpore, Prama Maji of Asian International School in Howrah and Tulika Panja of DAV Model School KSTP, Asansol were top nine winners. The tenth position went to the team of Manan Poddar from Calcutta International School and Nripesh Agarwal of La Martiniere for Boys in Kolkata.

Launched a week before Saraswati Puja, the Times Podcast Challenge by The Times of India and Ei Samay Gold invited the students to explore a new medium of learning through technology by participating in this unique challenge.
To train the students, an online workshop was organized with voice experts and actors Rwitobroto Mukherjee and Riddhi Sen.
Mukherjee said: “It was a great experience for the students to take the first step towards podcasting with the Times Podcast Challenge.”
