To all my friends and former colleagues from Spotify, I'm happy to help in any way I can. Whether that's making an introduction to my network, keeping an eye out for opportunities, or catching up for a chat. Please don't hesitate to reach out.

This project has really been a labor of love. When I first joined the Podcasts team I dreamed about leading our Black History Month campaign, and my dream finally came true! This campaign serves a galaxy of Black history and culture, where listeners get to experience community by celebrating and seeing each other, and voyage through the many ways in which Black resistance takes place. It has also been an amazing opportunity to celebrate Black creators, storytellers, and disruptors for the hard work they give to their craft. It's always such a special opportunity to work on values campaigns, and it's even more special to do it for my community. It really is a collection of amazing creators and shows! Check it out here: apple.co/-InEverything I want to say thank you to my team Greg Herman, Patrick B. Cherry, Emelia Grace, and Isabeth Mendoza, MPH with a special shoutout to Stacy Bond for walking with me hand in hand on this! 💗 #team #work #thankyou #community #culture

I'm incredibly proud to share that my team, Podcast Editorial, was recognized as Spotify's Team of the Month this October. It's genuinely an honor to get to work with and learn from each and every one of these passionate and creative folks every single day. While I will say (with full bias) that we are doing awesome work on a daily basis at spotify.com/podcasts by highlighting underserved voices and creating delightful discovery experiences for our users, here are 2 recent initiatives that I'd like to call attention to: 1) In support of Voter Registration Day on Sept 28, Ayodele Oti, MBA updated our Play Your Part hub (spotify.com/playyourpart) with episodes focused on Voter Rights & Representation. This includes guest-curated podcast playlists from inimitable activists like Stacey Abrams and sets of episodes to help first-time voters better understand issues like climate change. Read more from Ayo herself here: https://bit.ly/3Fw68co 2) For the month of Oct, Rachel Selvin has done a full Halloween takeover of our True Crime Scene hub (spotify.com/truecrime). The highlight is the Spooky Stories podcast playlist which is counting down the 31 scariest episodes of all time in the lead up to Oct 31. In addition, check out guest-curated podcast playlists from true crime podcasters like "Rotten Mango" host Stephanie Soo and horror fans like comedian Benito Skinner. Stay tuned to spotify.com/podcasts every day to see the latest work from my truly wonderful team. h/t Carmen, Isabella, Brianne, Deontay, Eda, Ayodele, Rachel, Deondric, Jessica, Barbara, Bianca, Caroline, Zak, Elaina
Congratulations to the Podcast Editorial Team on being October’s team of the month🎉 This supremely talented band of individuals and storytellers is the secret ingredient behind the wonderful world of podcasts. The team works together to craft unique experiences that help listeners explore topics they love and discover new podcasts. Is this the team for you? #JoinTheBand

Jessica Diaz-Hurtado's amazing work on LOUD is a testament to her expertise, passion, and persistence. Check out ep 1 today only on Spotify (https://lnkd.in/d8kP846z). In addition, check out Jessica's curation in theLINER (spotify.com/theliner), our music storytelling editorial brand which she updates every Friday, also only on Spotify.
I’m so thrilled to share Spotify's recent launch of "LOUD: The History of Reggaeton" today hosted by the one and only La Diva, Ivy Queen! This has been a special project in the making and I’m incredibly proud to have led the podcast editorial strategy on this. Every step of the way has been intentional and collaborative with an amazing cross-functional team and talented partner with The Futuro Media Group. I love and appreciate all the elements of the way this story has been told: how a niche genre broke out globally, truly understanding the history of Reggaeton with all of its nuances, paying homage to the Afro-Caribbean communities who created this culture, and giving the legacy artists their flowers. To finally see a story on a genre that was once criminalized and that came from communities that have been marginalized and historically underrepresented is powerful. It's an honor to have been apart of this launch! Check out the video trailer by our talented team and listen to LOUD! https://lnkd.in/gaaSticU https://lnkd.in/gWycrZqQ

I could not be more proud of my team (especially Brianne O'Brien & Ayodele Oti) for their vital efforts on Play Your Part (https://lnkd.in/dGT-26b). July's PYP hub revamp focuses on Police Reform with episodes curated by theme by Bri & Ayo, episodes chosen by guest editors in podcast playlists, and a link-out to Color of Change, a partner doing great work in this space. Seeing Bri & Ayo's work out in the world genuinely makes me emotional. I'm eager, alongside my truly wonderful team, to continue to do more on Spotify to provide helpful context to complex issues and to highlight under-heard voices, both podcasters and activists from the non-profit sector. Also, scroll down to the bottom of the Play Your Part hub for our curation around Climate Activism that we'd launched back in April. We will continue to grow and build out the PYP hub as an evergreen resource as Ayodele Oti delves into more themes in the months and years to come.
Today is an exciting day for the Spotify podcast editorial team! The Play Your Part podcast hub has relaunched with a new theme: police reform. Our curation discusses everything from the history and current state of policing in America, to firsthand accounts from activists and law enforcement alike. We’ve partnered with Color of Change, a civil rights advocacy group of more than 7 million members whose various campaigns are devoted to tackling racism and injustices. We have three guest curators including Sam Sanders (host of It’s Been a Minute), Rashad Robinson (CEO of Color of Change), and Saidu Tejan-Thomas Jr (host of Resistance) To access for FREE, please search “Play Your Part” on mobile or visit the desktop version (https://lnkd.in/d35CJka). Listen to the powerful storytelling, and spread the word! Special shout out to Brianne O'Brien for leading this hub relaunch, and many thanks to the rest of our team for their support and cross-functional partners that made this work (too many to tag! <3) #socialimpact #podcasts #storytelling
