Description The Audience Insights Analyst is responsible for designing, with other internal stakeholders, data collection and analysis for podcasts, radio broadcast shows, and fundraising efforts at PRX. Consult with and provide a high level of analysis and regular reports to internal and external stakeholders including Resource Development, Audience Growth & Marketing, Digital & Creative, and Sales teams. Ensure reporting meets their unique needs and facilitates savvy business and campaign management decisions. Continue to develop and evolve projection models to help with revenue, sales, and show performance.

You will lead efforts to analyze the behavior, needs, and networks of PRX audiences and determine opportunities for engagement and growth. Working alongside the marketing team, you’ll be charged with examining, analyzing, and making strategic decisions about the future direction of the organization’s brands and programs based on the analysis and examination of listener data. You will seek out new insights leading to organization growth across all the organization’s brands.

The ideal candidate has a creative approach to problem solving and strong team-building skills.

Definition of Success

Become a resident expert on PRX Metrics and other internal tools to measure and evaluate show and organizational success Lead and report out Nielsen Listening data for PRX and all distributed broadcast shows twice each year Lead and report data trends for bi-annual reviews for Radiotopia and other key shows Create strong, cross-department collaborations to ensure reporting and tracking meet unique project and organizational needs and facilitate savvy decision making across the business Provide projections for new and existing shows for revenue projections Create and maintain a system for reporting key performance metrics to senior leadership Centralize all marketing KPIs and show performance data through weekly and monthly reporting Responsibilities

Works collaboratively across departments to ensure reporting and tracking meets their unique needs and facilitates savvy decision making across the business Collaborates with the marketing team on data management and reporting strategy for podcasts, broadcast properties, and digital campaigns Generates, maintains, and improves the efficiency of existing reporting and analyses that inform and guide subsequent marketing, sales, and fundraising strategies Maintains quality control for data and reporting practices to ensure accuracy and consistency across reports Works with internal and external data sources to project, track and analyze content performance Provides the station services team with critical data and analysis to support relationships in public media Partners with the sponsorship sales team on annual surveys for all distributed shows including setting respondent targets and final reporting Manages data tool vendor relationships and actively researches new advancements in industry tools/vendors Works closely with the fundraising team to project, measure, and evaluate podcast fundraising campaign effectiveness Supports the fundraising team with projections and reporting as required for grant-funded projects Conducts qualitative and quantitative consumer, competitor and marketplace research to consolidate information into reports and presentations Collaborates with creative services and marketing on presentations to ensure accuracy and clarity Synthesizes information into clearly-written reports and presentations for various projects and quarterly/annual reporting Establish a strong communication system to best support relationships with colleagues and appraise others of project status and timelines Work as a team to develop, apply, and maintain standard data and reporting practices to ensure accuracy and consistency across reports Work as a team to organize existing reports and ad-hoc requests to ensure deadlines are met Maintain documentation of reporting requirements, procedures, and processes for all analysis and data reporting Other duties may be assigned Requirements Skills & Knowledge Public media fan and podcast listener Strong communicator with the ability to interpret and present findings to internal and external partners in an easy-to-understand way with clear takeaways Impeccable time management with the ability to work quickly across data requests to serve internal and external partners and meet deadlines Ability to excite and inspire others in using data for decision making Education & Experience

2-4 years experience working with data and reporting in a digital or media-based organization Awareness of and experience using tools such as Google Analytics, Salesforce, Quicksites, Meltwater, Cision & Survey Monkey for qualitative and quantitative data management and reporting Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in data science or related data analysis and marketing management Benefits PRX offers a competitive benefits package, including medical, dental and vision benefits; group term life insurance; short- and long-term disability income replacement coverage; and the option to participate in savings accounts for uncovered medical expenses and related costs. Salary ranges are dependent on location and can be given upon request. Some examples are as follows: CO, MN, IL, FL, TX, and MO is $55k-$67k. In MA, DC, and LA, the range is 60k-75k.
