On June 17, 2020, SiriusXM acquired a leading podcast hosting, distribution, and analytics platform in Simplecast. Since this acquisition, AdsWizz has worked closely with Simplecast to provide a truly end-to-end podcast solution, powering the industry’s most electric podcast publishers, including The New York Times, Univision, NBC, Politico and Maximum Fun to name a few.
We are seeking an experienced and proven Business Development Manager to join our Podcast Solutions Sales Team. You will be expected to demonstrate a high degree of podcast industry knowledge and expertise while maintaining individual sales objectives and shared KPIs. You will be responsible for closing net new business while retaining ongoing relationships with your partners to grow your book of business through renewals and other opportunities.
This role requires a broad knowledge of the podcast industry, an understanding of the technical components of digital media distribution and monetization technologies. As one of the first points of contact for prospective publishers, your ability to become a trusted partner on industry best practices — while demonstrating a deep understanding of how to leverage our solutions to maximize value gain — will be critical to your success in this role.
Position location is flexible and requires occasional domestic and international travel (when safe to do so). The role reports to the Sr. Director, Business Development - Podcasts.
Your Mission
- Build, maintain, and exceed platform revenue vs budget
- Generate, contact, and qualify inbound and outbound leads utilizing a diversity of strategies and techniques
- Align with our Business Development Team to target companies within specific industries
- Create and strategically prioritize target account lists and align product messaging
- Conduct high-level conversations with contacts at target accounts
- Support the RFI/RFP process on select target accounts by providing responses to business requirements
- Successfully utilize multiple sales enablement tools simultaneously
- Track and report on weekly activity, key accounts, and closed business in CRM (HubSpot)
- Automate repetitive tasks whenever possible

- Someone with an ability to operate with a sense of urgency and values accountability
You Have
- 5+ years of professional experience
- 2+ years of enterprise sales or business development experience, preferably selling a SaaS solution; content management tools or advertising technologies highly desirable
- Strong verbal and written communication, time management, organizational as well as presentation skills
- Knowledge of on-demand audio distribution in general, as well as advertising, payment, analytics, and other technologies that power the podcast industry
- Proven sales foundation built through sales training and practical experience
- Experience working with or qualifying enterprise clients preferred
- CRM experience (preferably Hubspot)
- Passion for podcast content and our creative community
